The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari

Updated: Oct 5, 2022

Sharing main thoughts and practices from one of my favorite books "The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari". This book is in my MUST READ list for those who is interested in the topic of self-development and visualization.

Here are these few rituals from the book that will make you a better, happier and healthier person:

Loneliness

Spend 15 minutes to an hour a day alone when you are in a state of peace. It can be a meditation with proper breathing. My perfect time to do it is in the morning.

Physical perfection

Get your body moving every day. For America, this can especially be a mandatory habit, since people practically do not walk. We use car on the way from work to home / shop / restaurant. It's awesome if you have time for the gym, if not - think of waking up earlier to have time to exercise.

Healthy eating

A bad diet takes away mental and physical energy from you, makes you sleepy and in a bad mood. With the huge comic sickness around, we just don't have the right not to take care of our health.

Dive into knowledge

Improve yourself, learn and grow. In all directions. Set aside at least an hour a day for a new hobby, reading, fulfilling your dreams.

Custom display

Analyze your day, actions, so that next time you can do more and better.

Wake up early

Who gets up early - God gives him. Or better read the following book to love mornings: "The Miracle Morning".

Music

It lifts your spirits. Makes you sing, dance, laugh and restore peace of mind.

The spoken word

When you need to feel the energy in yourself and tune in a new way, use affirmations. After all, as you say and convince yourself, it will be so. I didn’t understand before why my mother got angry when I said phrases like “I’m a dumbass”, “I almost died of fear”, and so on. Now I do: we program our brain with these expressions.

Simplicity

Enjoy every moment of life. We often forget to just live in the moment in the rush of daily worries.

Let me know your thought.
